Terms of sale.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The order confirmation we send on checkout acknowledges receipt — it is not yet acceptance. The contract forms when we confirm dispatch, or when the goods are handed to the carrier, whichever comes first.

We may decline an order — for example if an item turns out to be out of stock, or a price was displayed in error. If we do, you are charged nothing, and anything already taken is refunded in full.

All prices are in euros and include German VAT at the applicable rate. Shipping is charged separately as set out on the shipping page: free above €80,00, otherwise €4,90 within Germany or €9,90 elsewhere in the EU.

Payment is taken at checkout through the selected payment service. The goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.

The delivery periods shown on the shipping page apply from receipt of payment. If a delay occurs, statutory consumer rights remain unaffected and we will inform you when the delay becomes known.

For consumer orders, the risk of accidental loss or damage generally remains with us until the goods are handed to you or a recipient designated by you. Statutory rights apply if delivery fails or the parcel is lost.

As a consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. You can use the permanently available “Withdraw from contract” function in the footer, or send an unambiguous statement by email or post. The electronic function records the declaration and immediately emails its content, date, and time.

The withdrawal instructions and model withdrawal form are available from the “Withdraw from contract” page before checkout and are sent with the order confirmation. For orders originally delivered to Germany, we bear the direct return cost. For delivery addresses outside Germany, you bear the direct return cost. Necessary transport costs for justified defect claims remain our responsibility.

SQUATRAT separately extends the return opportunity to 30 days. The voluntary policy does not replace or limit the statutory withdrawal right. Its additional conditions are set out on the returns page.

New goods carry the statutory defect rights, with claims generally becoming time-barred two years after delivery. If goods are defective, you may initially choose repair or replacement. We bear the necessary transport, labour, and material costs. The selected remedy may be refused only where the statutory requirements permit it.

If proper cure is refused, impossible, or unsuccessful, the statutory requirements may allow a price reduction, withdrawal from the purchase, or damages. These rights apply against the seller independently of any voluntary commercial guarantee. The official harmonised EU notice is shown prominently during checkout and remains available from the “Legal guarantee” link.

Normal wear consistent with the type and intensity of use is generally not a defect; suspected premature damage is assessed individually.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer resident in another EU state, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of your own country's law.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is no longer available.
